The Living Well Hub has moved to the Clubroom of the Brae Hall, the entrance is on the North side of the hall.
The Living Well Hub is a place to have a face to face chat and find out about:
- Living independently
- Local groups & activities
- Support for unpaid carers
- Services who could help you and your family
- Being healthy... and more!
This week:

- Come along for a cuppa and reminisce about your sporting memories with Danny and Jack between 10am and 12 noon. They will have some old photos and resources to look at – feel free to bring along anything you have, photos, trophies etc. They will also be taking along some fun activities to help us replay and reconnect with our sporting memories! https://www.sportingmemories.uk/
- Shetland Women’s Aid will be at the hub between 10am and 12 noon, they are the lead organisation working towards the prevention of domestic abuse in Shetland, and they provide a range of emotional and practical support to women, children, and young people. If you are experiencing abuse yourself, or if you are concerned about someone you know, you can speak to our specialist team for free, confidential advice. You do not have to call it “domestic abuse”, but if something doesn’t feel right, there is support available.
- Lesley from Sport & Leisure will be along with sportswear “kit for all” boxes between 10am and 330pm. Anybody can come along and take what they need or make donations should they wish too. This is pre loved sportswear for all ages
- Cari’s Café will be open between 11am and 1pm. She would love you to pop along to sample her food and give comments. Menu today will be Sandwiches (cheese & onion), Toasties / panini (ham & cheese), cheese scone, and scotch broth soup, card or cash payments, all made to order. There will be a small selection so first come first served!
- Recover Café 1pm – 3pm: Run by Shetland Recover Hub, a place for people to come and socialise and talk about recovery. Come and lets get the conversation started. Please see poster attached.
- Long Covid Peer Support Group will be meeting from 2pm to 4pm, there will be a drop in session and peer support group meeting on Long Covid and self-management of post viral fatigue. The support group plans to have monthly peer meetings, for further information or to register for digital peer support meetings contact Richard at [email protected]
