The Living Well Hub has moved to the Clubroom of the Brae Hall, the entrance is on the North side of the hall.
The Living Well Hub is a place to have a face to face chat and find out about:
- Living independently
- Local groups & activities
- Support for unpaid carers
- Services who could help you and your family
- Being healthy... and more!
This week:
- Come along for a cuppa and reminisce about your sporting memories with Danny and Jack between 10am and 12 noon. They will have some old photos and resources to look at – feel free to bring along anything you have, photos, trophies etc. They will also be taking along some fun activities to help us replay and reconnect with our sporting memories!
- Cari from the Brae Community Café will be doing some taster sessions over the next few weeks to gather feedback on her menu. She would love you to pop along to sample her food and give comments. This week it will be PANINI’S and Salad from 11am. £4 each. There will be a small selection so first come first served!
- RNID (Royal National Institute for Deaf People) will be at the Living Well Hub 12 noon – 1.30pm, this will be a free drop-in-service. No appointment needed. The friendly volunteers can help with Information on hearing loss and tinnitus, how to do a hearing check, hearing aids and how to access support and services in your area. Please see poster attached re information.
- Relationship Scotland Shetland – Conflict in relationships and families is normal. What is important is how conflict is dealt with, and sometimes people need help to work out how to deal with conflict in a constructive way. We are here to offer that help we have a range of services that can support you through relationship problems, family separation, family breakdowns including within child parent communication, community and neighbour disputes. If you are experiencing any of these or any other conflict and are not sure what to do then come along and have a confidential friendly chat with us over a cuppa and a biscuit or gather up some information to take away with you. https://www.relationships-scotland.org.uk/
