Produced by the Northmavine Tourism Group with the help of Davy Cooper, author and folklorist, this is a high-quality A5 36-page booklet packed full of all the things to see and do in Northmavine. Compiled by locals who know all the 'must-see' places to visit!

The guide comes with an introduction by Davy Cooper, who, more than thirty years ago, was given a summer job killing roadside weeds in Northmavine and spent six weeks wandering the highways and byways of the most northerly mainland parish of Shetland. This unorthodox introduction led to a lifetime love affair with Northmavine. As Davy says, "The place captured my heart and my imagination and I have been roaming Northmavine ever since. "

"This little booklet contains 72 places of interest in Northmavine but there are so many beautiful spots that not even a full book could do justice to them all. Regard this as a taster, a small sample to start you on your own explorations. The guide has sections on Sullom, Ollaberry, Hillswick, Eshaness, Ronas Hill and North Roe & Lochend, with a numbered outline map for each area corresponding to each place of interest.

In the centre of the booklet there is a 'Photo Pullout' double page spread with stunning views, as well as the flowers and birds of Northmavine. There is also a useful 'Contacts' section at the end of the booklet, with details of accommodation, cafés & restaurants, community halls, crafts shops & galleries, garage services, guided walks, museums & visitor centres, photography, playparks, Post Offices & Licenced Grocers, public internet access, public toilets and transport/taxis.
