Great news that finally, after a 5 year battle, Hillswick residents Hazel Minn and her adopted sons Simon and Vincent have been informed by the Home Office that they will not be deported and will be allowed to stay here in their home in Northmavine.
Hazel and the boys left Burma to flee the military junta and moved into the boys' grandparents' house in Stucca, Hillswick, where they have become very much part of the community, with the boys attending first Urafirth Primary and now Brae High School. Congratulations and best wishes to Hazel, Simon, Vincent, Bert & Lillian!
