Almara is a friendly B&B with panoramic views. Near to the spectacular cliffs at Hillswick and Eshaness, with Ronas Hill, North Roe and Ollaberry a short drive away.

Three comfortable bedrooms are available with en-suite or private facilities. Bedrooms have hospitality trays, a hair drier and are wireless enabled. A hearty choice of breakfasts, using Shetland’s finest produce whenever possible, is served from 06.30 hrs to 08.30 hrs.

With our family's local knowledge we can offer helpful advice on what to see and do and where. We also encourage guests to help protect this environment by bringing back any litter for safe disposal at Almara, ensuring only footprints are left behind whilst they enjoy the most beautiful district in Shetland.

Almara Chalet, Upper Urafirth, Hillswick, Shetland ZE2 9RH

Almara Chalet is an attractive summerhouse - the perfect holiday home if you’re looking for self-catering accommodation with a little bit of luxury at an affordable price.

Almara Chalet has 1 bedroom and can sleep 2 people.

Being on one floor level the Chalet is suitable for people with some disability as all doors are wheelchair friendly, however the bathroom has no disabled facilities. A relaxing sun lounge has Sky television and the Chalet is wireless enabled. The well equipped kitchen has everything needed to cook memorable meals using Shetland’s excellent produce. There is one peaceful bedroom with very comfortable beds. Almara Chalet has no extra charges for the heating, electric or gas used, making this a very cost-effective holiday base.

Faa, North Roe, Shetland ZE2 9RY

FAA is 3 bedroomed house which sleeps 6, situated in North Roe, at the northernmost end of mainland Shetland. North Roe is an area of outstanding natural beauty, with excellent coastal and hill walks and a choice of two beaches within easy walking distance. The wildlife is varied and plentiful - an otter is known to live locally and seals are frequently seen in the voe. The property sits in the lee of the hill and is surrounded by a large garden which has lawns and a selection of trees and bushes providing valuable cover and food for numerous birds. All the adjoining land is crofted and regularly used by livestock.

Midfield, Bardister, Ollaberry, Shetland

Midfield is a fully modernised croft house in the heart of the crofting community at Bardister. Bardister is 35 miles from Lerwick and is in the parish of Northmavine in the north of Mainland, Shetland's largest island. The scenery is varied and makes good walking country and the coast is never far away. The area abounds with wild flowers and the bird life is varied. The crofthouse has one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one single bedroom and has colour TV, video and satellite reception. Heating is by electric panel heaters in each room and there is an additional electric fire in the lounge area. Appliances include cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier. A cot and high chair can be made available. There is a payphone in the house.

Nye Swarthoull Self Catering, Heylor, Hillswick, Shetland ZE2 9RH

Nye Swarthoull is a full sized three-bedroom house giving you the room you need to be comfortable with the whole family. The master bedroom is equipped with a double bed, the middle bedroom is ideal for the kids and has a set of full size bunk beds, and the final bedroom normally has two single beds. We also have an additional set of bunk beds and a cot that can be set up if required. The bathroom is equipped with both a bath and a shower so whether you want a quick wash or a long soak you are well provided for. Unlike other cottages, we don't charge extra for heating or electricity, it's all part of our philosophy of making your holiday as trouble free as we possibly can.

Modern self-catering accommodation in Northmavine, Shetland. The main house features accommodation for up to 8 people and has a large garden with 360° stunning views! Set on a hill above Hillswick, Stobrek is a 5 minute walk to the wonderful St Magnus Bay Hotel and the Hillswick Shop & Post Office. The cottage is situated in the most beautiful picturesque setting looking out over St Magnus bay. It is an ideal location for people looking for a peaceful retreat. Own transport is recommended, cyclists are also welcome. It is suitable for fishing, walking and artistic based holidays. Braewick Café is located in one of the most dramatic landscapes in Shetland, with spectacular views towards the famous sea stacks, 'the Drongs'. Our fully-equipped site can accommodate tents and up to 10 caravans, with full toilet, shower and laundry facilities and electricity hook-ups. Local crafts, knitwear, gifts and artwork are available from our craft shop and gallery. Our chef sources local ingredients, much of which is from our own croft, and serves fresh hot and cold savoury and sweet snacks during the day and an à la carte menu in the evening. A Sunday lunch menu is available by booking and we welcome bookings in our licensed café/restaurant for parties of up to 60 people.
